The Colossal Foundation’s mission is to make extinction a thing of the past by putting breakthrough bioscience to work for the species that need it most. They are dedicated to help scale and accelerate on-the-ground conservation projects that protect at-risk species, restore ecosystems, and build a durable genetic safety net for life on Earth. They work alongside conservationists, local communities, and Indigenous partners to prevent extinction before it happens. That means genetic rescue for critically endangered mammals and birds, AI- and drone-enabled monitoring of animals and their habitats, and a global biobanking network designed to preserve the genetic diversity of the world’s most vulnerable species.

Since 2025, ACS has been working closely with the Foundation to help assess its programs and strengthen its strategy in order to increase its impacts on biodiversity conservation.
